  • 2013 Grant Applications now available +

    The O’Sail organization supports 501(c)3 non-profit organizations that conduct projects or activities that benefit Lake Gaston. Funds raised through O'Sail events are granted back to the community through the grant application process. Grant applications are being accepted through March 15, 2013 and will be awarded in late March.

  • Guess Whos Coming To Dinner? +

    Join us January 17, February 21 and March 21 2013 for the Guess Who's Coming to Dinner series. Each month on the 3rd Thursday evening at the Lake Gaston Lions' Den you can enjoy a catered meal and a surprise guest speaker. This year all three speakers will provide entertaining and engaging topics related to the history and early years of Lake Gaston. Tickets are available at Mary Sherwood Lake Living for $25 per person and online (here).

    Lake Gaston 50th Birthday Party Splash is an umbrella under which many events will take place spanning six weeks in May and June, 2013, with a series of weekend events building up to a crescendo of 50th birthday celebrations on and around the actual anniversary date of June 20. The first Splash event is the annual Fly-In at the Halifax-Northampton Regional Airport on May 11. Other Splash highlights currently on the schedule include a large anniversary commemoration on Thursday, June 20 and a closing ceremony on Sunday, June 23. A series of events in between will be organized and hosted by area businesses and non-profit organizations, all utilizing the official logo and featuring the number 50 as their overriding theme including a proposed beach music festival, kids fishing tournament, lake photo contest, 50-cake birthday party, long distance run, triathlon, geocaching event, golf tournament, bike and motorcycle rides, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding outings and historical and architectural displays, etc., in addition to potluck dinners, pancake breakfasts, fish frys and Brunswick stews.     The 6th annual Lake Gaston art show & sale is set for October 26, 2013 - 10AM - 5PM. 

    Fall For The Arts at Lake Gaston, NC, is an annual fund raising event for O'Sail. The event is a juried artist show and sale at multiple locations around the lake. 

    Meet the artists in a relaxed setting while enjoying complimentary refreshments, music and hors d’oeuvres arranged thoughout private homes that serve as sites for the artists to display and sell their work. Artwork includes paintings, ceramics, photography, fused glass, sculptures, jewelry, mixed media and much more!

O’Sail was organized to raise funds by hosting fun-filled events and activities that entertain and benefit Lake Gaston residents and visitors.

501(c3) OrganizationO’Sail, the Organization to Support the Arts, Infrastructure and Learning on Lake Gaston is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We serve as a philanthropic resource to other non-profit organizations serving the lake to enhance the sense of community, friendship and lake awareness.

O’Sail is proud to have provided grants to many non-profit organizations in the Lake Gaston area including local Fire Departments, the Lake Gaston Water Safety Council, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Warren County New Tech High School and many others.
